Preachables Tanzania:

God makes a difference in marriage

After two Tanzanian Baptist leaders taught and trained regarding Christian marriage, 16 families made some radical changes in the choices they will make in their marriages. Rejoice in the difference God’s Word shared with God’s people can make.

One couple agreed to eat together at meal times. In some Tanzanian cultures, the wife never eats with her husband. The commitment to honor each other by spending this time together will change their lives and radiate Christ to their world.

Another couple told of the problems they were having as a couple but through the teaching realized that it was a result of selfishness on each of their parts.

One man repented to his wife and the church admitting a fault that the church had brought to his attention. He said that he wanted to deny it but God gave him the ability to agree with God that what he was doing was sin.

Three families agreed to share their commitment to one another in front of their church families.

Men and women agreed to be open with their finances and agree that money was not just the property of one spouse but of the home and together they would decide how to use it.

All agreed to make prayer and Bible study a family thing.

Praise the Lord for the changes He makes in marriages, in homes and in the world.

God is at work all around the world through . . .
