SOUTH ASIA UNBOUND. During a recent trip to India, a volunteer from a Baptist church in Southeast Asia shared the gospel of Jesus with R, the vice principal of a school in Bihar state. Over lunch, she and R discussed the many gods of the Chinese religions and Hinduism. “But there is only one God who came and reached out to humanity,” she told R. To gain more understanding of the gospel, R visited the volunteer team the following two nights. The last night, he told the team that he believed in his heart and already had started to pray to Jesus that morning. However, R said he could not verbally commit to Jesus because he fears his parents would disown him.

“Here is one man who … (has) found the truth but (is) afraid to profess it,” the volunteer writes. “Let’s pray that R will have the boldness to act on his belief.” www.imb.org/southasia
