Place of safety

Where does a young man go when he is accused of a serious crime? In the Northern Cape town of Upington, many of these young boys are found in a reform facility. While they are waiting for their cases to be heard, the gospel of Jesus Christ is being presented. Missionaries and other Christians in the area come to give hope and tell the boys that there is another place of safety in the arms of Jesus. None respond to the invitation on this particular day, but each one is eager to share an item of prayer — several want to return to school, one wishes to go back home to his mother, one has a court case the following week and one wants to work for the Lord. The Holy Spirit is working — the boys are thinking. Praise God!
