“Escaping into drugs and alcohol.” E. is a young Nama man living in a dead-end town in a wasteland of Namibia. He is proud of his Nama heritage. He is also proud of living life his own way. E. seemed open to hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, when it came time to make a decision, he left the room of the dilapidated building to escape. E. returned glassy-eyed and smelling like gas fumes. He chose to avoid the truth and to escape into his sin. Pray that E. will turn to life and hope in Jesus before it’s too late. Pray for the Lord to build prayer support for the Nama/Damara, an unengaged people.
