MUSLIMS: PRAYING BEYOND THE WALL. Carrots, potatoes, eggplants, a variety of beans, and numerous other vegetables are well known to the Kunjra people of India. In fact, the selling of such vegetables is what distinguishes the Kunjra people as members of an occupational-based caste. The Kunjra people of India are Urdu-speaking Muslims and are nearly 1.5 million strong in population. While traditionally they have been known as vegetable sellers, a more important characteristic of the Kunjra people is that there are no known Christians among them. The Kunjra people have not rejected the Word of God or salvation through Jesus; most simply have never heard it and do not know that salvation is available to them.
