‘Hanging with the Lord’
When she was in college, her friends encouraged her to pursue
a career in opera. But, as the young American woman said,
the thought just never “captured her.” She loved
to sing, but she knew that she wanted more in life. As she
was trying to figure out what the future would hold, she
visited China on some short-term trips. “The Lord captured
my heart with these people and made me love them so much
that I couldn’t stand to be away,” she said.
Now in the middle of a two-year stint sharing Christ in China,
she reflected, “I’ve never found anything more
fulfilling, more exciting, more ‘rad’ fun than
hanging out with Chinese people, hanging with the Lord, and
letting Him be my provision.”
