Ask God to soothe tempers of Bihari people

While flood waters are receding in many areas of Bihar, some areas of the state continue to receive heavy rains. By mid-August, more than 600 Biharis had lost their lives and about 11 million were suffering because of flooding, according to news reports. Many are homeless, without work and in need of food. As waters have continued to rise, so have tempers. Violence at relief distribution points has been commonplace, and police even fired on one group in the Vaishali district, the Hindu newspaper reported. Pray that God would quiet the Bihari people with His love. Pray that God in His authority would see to it that physical relief like food and clean drinking water is distributed fairly and orderly. Pray that the Biharis would recognize that all provision with which they are blessed comes from God.
