Ask God's protection for Bangladesh

As flood waters make international headlines and the Bangladeshi government allows foreign relief to come into the country, please remember to pray for the Bihari Muslim minority population. While most of their refugee camps are not directly hit by the flood, the Bihari Muslims are indirectly affected by this national crisis. Day laborers and rickshaw pullers now have little income because of the heavy rains. Prices of food and other essentials have risen because of destroyed crops and hampered transportation. As floodwaters recede, waterborne diseases threaten to contaminate drinking water, and the densely populated Bihari camps are exceptionally vulnerable to communicable disease. Pray that God will protect all of Bangladesh from a major outbreak of cholera and other illnesses. Pray for God's provision for those affected directly and indirectly by the flood. Pray that Christians involved in relief distribution will have an opportunity to share about God's love throughout Bangladesh. www.peopleteams.org/biharimuslims/
