Woman prepares for mother's death

"Esther" (a pseudonym) is from the poor Hindu caste of street sweepers. She lives with her elderly mother in a small room in the basement of a restaurant. Several years ago, Esther left her Hindu practices and accepted Jesus as her Savior. Since that time, she has refused to allow her nonbelieving brothers to arrange a marriage for her, and her mother has supported her stand. Esther's mother now has incurable cancer. Esther writes: "My mother's health is not good. Please pray for my mother. Doctor is not doing anything for her. Only God is helpmate." Pray for Esther and her mother. Pray that all of Esther's siblings will place their faith in Jesus before their mother's death. Pray for Esther as she prepares emotionally and spiritually for that day. Pray that she will continue to trust God to provide for her in this society where a husband normally is looked to for provision. www.neglectedfields.net
