When
I first saw the material about encouraging churches to be an
Acts 1:8 church, God impressed on me that we must become an Acts
1:8 association. We must be there for our churches to assist,
encourage, resource, and discover partners who will walk alongside
them in connecting their people to mission opportunities. Whether
that would be Jerusalem (their community), Judea (their state),
Samaria (their nation) or Ends of the Earth (their world) the
association would be the strategic hub.
I
remember growing up in Perkins, Oklahoma, and behind my house
was the oldest Cowboy living; his name was Frank Eaten. I would
go over and he would invite me to sit with him on his front porch.
Most people in those early days had front porches.
